I had a very happy child hood. My 2 uncles Steve (Lead vocals and
guitar) and Dave (Vocals and drums) , had a band with Bruce (Bass
guitar) as a member. The band was called the Northwesteners. My pappy
Eck also played the guitar but not with the band. I remember listening
to them play during rehearsals. I remember thinking about how cool it
would be to be a drummer. As I enjoy a lot of bass in my music now, I
guess things don't really change that much. I grew up with a lot of my memories being with my mammy Eck. As my mom was an only parent occasionally she needed help watching over me. Occasionally we even lived at mammy's house. My mom was close to her mother. And that translated to me being close to my grandmother. My mammy Eck although not totally blind was considered legally blind. She couldn't drive a car which made our family unit close. The family I consider as the Eck family was within a 1 mile radius. I spent time visiting with mammy and pappy Werley. We visited with Gloria (pappy Werley's daughter). I even became good friends with Rachael and Theresa (Bruce and Carol's daughters). The next few pictures are of me between the ages of 4 and 8 mostly with the Eck family. |

| Here are some pictures of the Eck family. From my uncles, Continuing with my grand parents, Finishing with my pets. My mammy Eck had pet's as I was growing up. She enjoyed skunks. She even owned a couple during my child hood. Unfortunately I have no pictures of them. |
