This is the wiring diagram I used to install my MSD. Please note the TO TACH wire goes to the tach output on the MSD in order to keep your tachometer.

Choosing a location for the MSD might be a problem. This is where I chose to put the MSD. The charcoal canister was removed previously so it was the prime location. Recently emissions laws were introduced into my area and I was forced to reinstall the emissions. I had no problem replacing the charcoal canister. They both fit together with ease.
